Metallic Paint for Wood Water-Based Gold Silver 200 g with Brush Coverage 1 to 1.2 m2 per Coat Spraying Rolling Painting | Sansoti

Metallic paint for wood: give a frame or piece of furniture a gold or silver finish

A wooden frame, a small side table, a candle holder - objects that are perfectly fine but make you look at them and think: this would work in gold. This water-based metallic paint does just that without having to apply gold leaf: apply it with the included brush, a roller, or a spray, and you can add the second coat after two hours. Available in gold or silver, 200 grams per pot, with coverage of approximately 1 to 1.2 m² per coat.

What you can do with 200 grams

• Coverage of 1 to 1.2 m² per coat: or approximately 5 to 6 m² per kilo - plenty for frames, a chair leg, or a small piece of furniture, but not enough for a wall.
• Water-based: brushes and rollers can be washed with water, without having to keep white spirit at home.
• Brush included: the 200 grams comes with a free brush, so you can get started right away.
• Spray, paint, or roll: three application methods, depending on whether you are working on a flat surface or a profile.
• Drying time of 2 hours or more between coats: two thin coats create a fuller metallic look than one thick coat.
• Also suitable for metal, plaster, and decorative items: the same pot works on more than just wood.

Calculating coverage and applying the paint

Calculate the surface area before ordering: one 200-gram pot covers approximately one square meter per coat, and you will usually want two coats. An A3 frame will therefore easily fit within one pot; for a side table, two pots are more realistic. Coverage varies depending on the surface: rough or untreated wood absorbs more than pre-painted wood, and humidity and coat thickness also play a role. Lightly sand the wood before you begin and work in one direction, so the metallic sheen remains even rather than streaky.
