Multifocal Glasses +2.5 Blue-Light Filter Progressive Scratch-Resistant Screen | Sansoti

Multifocal glasses with blue-light filter for screen work

At a desk, you switch between three distances all day: the screen at sixty centimetres, paper at thirty-five, and your colleague on the other side of the room. With fixed reading glasses, one of them is always out of focus. These progressive multifocal glasses cover all three distances in a single lens, with smooth transitions between the zones. They also feature a blue-light filter for the screen-based part of your day, plus a UV filter and photochromic function for when you go outside. Strengths from +1.0 to +4.0.

The lens specifications

• Progressive lens technology: smooth transitions between the reading, intermediate and distance zones, without a visible dividing line.
• Blue-light protection: filters the blue part of screen light during long working days.
• Photochromic: the lenses darken in bright light, so one pair of glasses works both indoors and outdoors.
• UV filter: protection against ultraviolet light when used outdoors.
• Scratch-resistant and anti-smudge: fewer smudges and streaks when putting them on and taking them off every day.
• Strengths +1.0 to +4.0: seven strengths, in half-diopter increments.

The first few days

Allow for an adjustment period of 1 to 3 days. At first, you may notice that you move your head slightly to find the right zone; after that, it becomes automatic. During the first few days, wear the glasses while working quietly at your desk before using them in changing situations. In addition to screen work, they are suitable for reading, driving and outdoor activities. Choose the strength that matches your current reading glasses; if you are unsure between two values, choose the lower one — it is easier to adjust to with progressive lenses.
