wasmachinekraan-3-4-inch-wand
Washing Machine Faucet 3/4 Inch Wall-Mounted 304 Stainless Steel Brass Core Valve Single Handle Black Brushed Nickel Balcony | Sansoti

3/4-inch washing machine tap: the size that fits the inlet hose

A washing machine hose has a 3/4-inch union nut. That is the whole reason you are here: you need a tap that the hose fits onto without an adapter, because every additional connector is another place that can start leaking behind a machine you cannot simply pull away. This wall-mounted tap is available in 3/4" and 1/2", with a 304 stainless steel body and a brass core valve - and with the connection at the top or on the side, so it fits the way the pipe runs in your laundry room.

The specifications that determine whether it fits

3/4" or 1/2" connection size: choose 3/4" for a standard washing machine inlet hose, or 1/2" when the pipe requires it.

Top or side connection: two versions, so the tap fits a pipe coming from above or from the side wall.

304 stainless steel body: remains free from rust in a damp laundry room.

Brass core valve: designed to seal for years - the part that starts leaking first on a cheap tap.

Single zinc alloy handle: can be turned off in one movement when you shut off the machine during a holiday.

Black or brushed nickel, CE: cold-water tap, also suitable for use on a balcony, in the kitchen or in the bathroom.

Installing it behind a machine

Choose the height so that you can reach the tap without pulling the washing machine away - that is the point at which people eventually stop turning their tap off altogether. The tap is small compared with the machine, so it fits well above the machine on the tiled wall without getting in the way. Shut off the main water supply, loosen the old tap and check which connection size is present before ordering. Tighten the hose union nut by hand, then check under pressure for leaks at the connection.
