Toenail Scissors for Thick Nails Stainless Steel 13,3 x 8 cm Curved Sharpened Blades Ergonomic Non-Slip Grip Three Colors | Sansoti

Toenail scissors for thick nails: the leverage makes all the difference

Ordinary nail scissors are about nine centimeters long. That is too short for thick or hardened toenails: you have to squeeze with your fingertips, the scissors slip, and the nail splits instead of being cut. These scissors measure 13.3 by 8 centimeters - about the length of a hand - and that extra grip length provides the leverage that does the work. The blades are curved and professionally sharpened, so they follow the curve of the nail instead of having to cut straight through it.

Why they work on hard nails

• 13.3 x 8 cm size: longer handles mean more power with less effort - for thick nails, that is the whole point.
• Curved, professionally sharpened blades: follow the curve of the nail, allowing you to cut straight without having to pry.
• Stainless steel: retains its sharpness and does not develop rust spots in a damp bathroom.
• Ergonomic grip with non-slip coating: stays firmly in your hand, even with wet or oily fingers after soaking.
• Easy to clean and disinfect: important if more than one person in the household uses them.
• Three colors: black, red and blue - convenient for distinguishing pairs by person.

How to cut your nails most easily

First soak your feet in warm water for a few minutes: a softened nail requires less force and is less likely to split. Then cut straight across in a few small snips instead of cutting across the nail in one motion - that is when nails tear. Clean and dry the scissors after use, and do not store them in a closed, damp box. At 13.3 cm, these scissors are considerably larger than manicure scissors, so they will not fit in a small travel case; keep that in mind if you want to take them with you.
