Medication in your carry-on, without a cooler
Temperature-sensitive medication belongs in your carry-on, not in the hold, but a five-liter cooler won't fit there. This medication cooler bag for carry-on luggage is a case measuring 20 x 7.5 x 6 cm — about the length of a hand, similar to a pencil case — that keeps your medication cool with a reusable gel pack, no electricity needed. Freeze the gel pack at home, place it in the case with your medication, and close the zipper. The EVA material weighs almost nothing, and its compact size and clear purpose mean you can pass through security without a fuss.
Why this size works for travel
- 20 x 7.5 x 6 cm: fits in a handbag, backpack, or jacket pocket, so your medication stays with you instead of going in the hold.
- No electricity needed: works with a chilled gel pack, so no power outlet or battery is needed on the way.
- Reusable gel pack: can be frozen again and again, so you won't use it up on the outbound journey.
- EVA material: lightweight and insulating, with a sturdy shape that keeps the case from being crushed in a full bag.
- Zipper closure: closes fully, keeping the gel pack and medication in place.
- Neutral appearance: available in black, red, or green, with no print indicating what's inside.
How long the cooling lasts
The stated cooling time is approximately 24 hours in spring and fall and approximately 12 hours in summer, with a temperature range of 2 to 24 °C when using the chilled gel pack. That's plenty for a day trip or a flight of a few hours; for a long summer journey, it's a good idea to bring a second gel pack or have one chilled along the way. The removable inner pocket makes the case easy to clean between trips. Available in black, red, and green, all at the same price. Please note: this is a cooling case, not a refrigerator — always consult your pharmacy's or healthcare provider's storage instructions to find out exactly what your medication requires.
