Stone-Look Mug Hand-Finished Resin with Stainless Steel Lining 10 cm High Mineral Bands 5 Designs Agate Obsidian Marble | Sansoti

Stone-look mug: mineral-like exterior, steel interior

Most mugs are either attractive or practical. A patterned ceramic mug looks good and cools down quickly; a steel cup keeps drinks warm and looks like a piece of equipment. This mug does both: a hand-finished resin exterior with a polished stone imitation and visible mineral bands, plus a stainless steel lining. It is 10 centimetres tall and comes in five designs - from Ocean Marble and Dark Agate to Obsidian, Moss Stone and Sunset Geode.

Why it makes a great gift

• Hand-finished resin with mineral bands: the bands vary from piece to piece, so no two mugs are alike.
• Polished stone imitation: the sheen catches the light, allowing the mug to stand out as an object on a desk rather than disappear into the cupboard.
• Stainless steel lining: the drinking surface is steel, not resin - neutral in taste and easy to clean.
• 10 cm tall: slightly taller than a standard coffee mug, while still fitting under a coffee machine.
• Five unique designs: plenty of choice to find one that suits the recipient.
• Leakproof and heat-insulating: the double construction keeps coffee warm for longer while keeping the exterior comfortable to hold.

In use

The resin exterior provides insulation, so the mug remains comfortable to hold when the coffee has just been poured in - that is the practical benefit of its construction. Hand washing is recommended: this helps preserve the sharpness of the polished finish and hand-finished bands, while a dishwasher can make the sheen dull over time. Please note: the product specifications list a height of 10 cm but do not state the capacity in millilitres; compare the photos with your own mug if the precise capacity matters to you.
