Motion-detection camera that only alerts you when something happens
The problem with a camera that records continuously is that no one watches the footage back. You may have five hours of video, but not the one moment you were looking for. That is why this camera uses motion detection and sends an alert as soon as movement appears in the frame — you then check the hdlivecam app at that moment, instead of playing back a recording in the evening. It records in 1080P Full HD at 30 frames per second, even in the dark.
The specifications that determine how it works
- Motion detection with alerts: the camera alerts you itself instead of making you search through the footage.
- 1080P Full HD, 30 fps, H.264: 1920x1080 image with a 2-megapixel sensor, in a 4:3 aspect ratio; photos in 2560x1920.
- Night vision and built-in microphone: image and sound, even in a dark room.
- WiFi with app for Android, iOS and iPad: watch live via hdlivecam, wherever you are.
- 1200 mAh lithium battery: up to five hours of continuous recording and four hours of charging time, so there is no cable at the place where it is positioned.
- Micro SD up to 128 GB: footage remains stored locally on the card. The memory card is not included.
How to use the camera most effectively
Position it where movement enters rather than in the middle of a room: a hallway, landing or the entrance to a home office. Thanks to motion detection, this results in few false alerts, and because the camera is housed inside a working electric shaver, it does not change the appearance of the room. With a 128 GB card and recording only when movement is detected, you can store a great deal of footage, but expect to clear the card if it is placed in a busy area. This product is intended for monitoring your own home or space; recording other people without their knowledge is subject to legal restrictions, so check what is permitted in your situation.
