IP65 on a facade exposed to rain all year round

For an exposed facade, the protection rating is the first thing to consider; everything else comes after. This outdoor wall light has IP65: completely dust-tight and resistant to water jets from any direction. The housing is made of aluminum with a weather-resistant coating, so there will be no rust streaks down the plasterwork after winter. The 60 cm version delivers 24 W; the same series is also available in 10 cm (2 W), 20 cm (6 W), and 40 cm (18 W). The light operates on 85 to 265 V, has a fixed wall mounting, and is available in black or white.

Mounting on a facade

The light can be mounted horizontally or vertically, which determines the lighting effect: horizontally, it creates a wide band of light across the facade or terrace; vertically, a narrow line of light beside a door or gate. At 60 cm long, mounting it vertically beside a front door of around 200 cm is a common application, as the light then covers about a third of the door's height and remains in proportion. With IP65, take the cable entry into account: water can get in through the entry if it is not properly sealed, not through the fixture itself. The light has a fixed connection to 85 to 265 V, so first decide where the power supply will come from and mark the mounting points before drilling.
