Brass Wall Lamp with Fabric Shade Ø 19 or Ø 46 cm, H 47,5-49,5 cm, 1 or 2 Light Points, E12, Bronze Black Nickel Chrome | Sansoti

Solid brass, not brass-colored coating

If you're looking for a brass wall lamp with a fabric shade, the material matters: brass develops its own patina over the years, giving it character, while painted metal simply peels. The lamp's frame is made of brass, and the shade is black fabric. Choose from Ø 19 cm and 47.5 cm high with one light or Ø 46 cm and 49.5 cm high with two lights, in bronze black, polished nickel, chrome, or brass. This lets you coordinate the finish with the faucets, door handles, and hinges you already have at home.

Specifications that make a difference

• Brass frame: solid metal instead of a painted finish, so its sheen changes over the years rather than peeling away.
• Fabric shade: black fabric diffuses the light softly and prevents the harsh reflections of a glass or metal shade.
• Two sizes: Ø 19 cm × H 47.5 cm with one light, or Ø 46 cm × H 49.5 cm with two lights for a wider beam.
• Four finishes: bronze black, polished nickel, chrome, and brass, so you can match it to existing hardware in each room.
• E12 socket: a standard small socket; you choose the bulb, which is not included.
• Hardwired connection: connects directly to the mains; mounting materials and installation instructions are included in the box.
• Indoor use only: designed for dry spaces such as hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms.

Where this lamp works best

A hallway or corridor is where the choice of material stands out most, because you walk past it at arm's length. At that distance, you can immediately see the difference between real brass and an imitation. The 47.5 cm-high version with one light works well beside a door or mirror; the wider two-light version, Ø 46 cm, fills a longer wall more effectively. Since the lamp is hardwired, it's a good idea to mark its position on the wall before drilling: at about eye level, the light falls favorably and the shade stays out of your line of sight.
