Coat Rack Foldable Hooks Magnetic Mechanism Solid Wood 3 to 10 Hooks Hidden Mounting System Walnut Oak | Sansoti

Coat rack with folding hooks: the wall stays flat when you are not using it

A folding hook depends on its mechanism. A spring-loaded hook starts to sag after a year, while a hinged hook rattles whenever a door slams shut. This coat rack uses a magnetic mechanism: the hook is held against the rail and stays quietly in place until you fold it out with one finger. On a smooth wall, this means a solid wood rail that lies flat, rather than a row of hooks that is always on display.

Specification options

• Magnetic folding mechanism: the hook is held magnetically against the rail and does not rattle, instead of relying on a spring or a loose hinge.
• Number of hooks: 3, 4, 6, 8 or 10: one rail per version, so you choose the length based on the number of hooks.
• Solid wood: available in walnut, light oak and black.
• Concealed mounting system: the mounting hardware is positioned behind the rail, including mounting points.
• Smooth, durable finish: easy to maintain and resistant to daily opening and closing.
• Suitable for more than coats: the same rail works in a utility room, bedroom or behind a door.

Where to mount it

Because the hooks lie flat when folded closed, you can mount this rail in places where a conventional coat rack would not fit: behind a door that opens alongside it, in an alcove or on a wall you want to keep mostly clear. Mount the rail at coat-collar height and first measure the wall width against the number of hooks you choose. On the wall, the rail is barely noticeable: when folded closed, it looks like a solid wood shelf rather than a coat rack, which is precisely the point in a room that is already full.
