Repair Bare Spots in Your Lawn Biodegradable Grass Mat 2 Pieces 300 x 20 cm Total 1,2 m2 Grass Seed Cloth | Sansoti

Repair Bare Patches in Your Lawn Without Scattering Grass Seed

Scattering loose grass seed almost always goes wrong in the same way: the wind carries away half, birds take the other half, and whatever remains grows in clumps. A grass mat solves this by containing the seed in a biodegradable fabric - you roll the strip out over the bare patch, wet it, and leave it in place. The fabric keeps the seed in position until it takes root, then breaks down in the soil. This set contains two mats, each measuring 300 by 20 centimetres.

What You Get and What It Covers

• 2 mats measuring 300 x 20 cm: long, narrow three-metre strips, covering 1.2 m² in total - intended for strips, not an entire lawn.
• Biodegradable fabric: it does not need to be removed; it breaks down in the soil as the grass grows through it.
• Seed is contained in the fabric: no blown-away seed and no clumps - it grows where you place the strip.
• For all garden surfaces: on a lawn, along a path, or on a strip of bare soil.
• Suitable for outdoor use: the fabric is designed to get wet and break down in the soil.
• 1.2 m² per set in total: two times 0.6 m², so measure your area before ordering.

How to Lay It

Loosen the bare patch first with a rake - a strip laid on compacted soil will root poorly. Roll out the mat, press it down lightly so it makes contact with the soil, and keep it moist during the first few weeks; that is the only care it needs. Because the mats are only 20 centimetres wide but 3 metres long, they work best on areas that are bare in a strip: a walkway through the grass, the strip where the dog always runs, or the edge along a patio. For a large, round bare patch, lay them side by side.
