Floor Protector for Office Chair on Parquet 80 x 120 cm Non-Slip Polyester, Also 60 x 90 and 90 x 120 cm, Water-Repellent | Sansoti

You can't get wheel tracks out of parquet

An office chair rolls across the same half-metre of floor hundreds of times every workday. After a year, you'll see it on parquet or laminate as a dull, scratched track, and you can't fix that with a wipe. This 80 × 120 cm floor protector sits under the chair and absorbs the movement. It's made of 100% polyester with an anti-slip backing, so the mat won't slide when you push off. It's also water-repellent and colourfast: a spilled cup of coffee won't immediately soak into the parquet underneath. Also available in 60 × 90, 90 × 90 and 90 × 120 cm.

How it protects your parquet

• 80 × 120 cm size: wide enough for the chair's entire base to stay on it, even when you roll back to stand up.
• Anti-slip backing: the mat stays in place instead of creeping out from under the wheels, which would cause new scratches.
• Water-repellent: spilled coffee or tea stays on the surface and doesn't immediately seep through to the wood.
• Colourfast: won't fade where sunlight falls through the window, which can happen quickly at a workspace by a window.
• 100% polyester: textile rather than hard plastic, so there's no sharp edge pressing into the parquet.
• Four sizes and seven colours: from 60 × 90 to 90 × 120 cm, in colours including grey, off-white, blue and natural.

Choosing the right size for your workspace

Measure how far your chair rolls back in practice before you stand up; that's the measurement that matters, not the size of the chair base. In most home offices, 80 × 120 cm is the practical choice, as it gives you just over a metre to roll back with the desk along the short side. For a small workspace in a corner, 60 × 90 cm is sufficient; for a desk where you move sideways a lot between two work surfaces, 90 × 120 cm is better. Place the mat with its long side in the direction you roll, and slide it under the front edge of the desk so the front wheels are on it too.
