A model engine that actually runs after you build it

Most model engines are display pieces: beautiful on the shelf, but nothing happens. This working metal model engine kit is different. You build an OHV V8 from CNC-machined metal parts, and after assembly, the engine actually starts on gasoline, with a real CDI ignition. You hear the engine running, see the valves moving and feel the vibration through the workbench. That is the difference between looking at a model and understanding how compression, carburetion and ignition work together to create a running machine.

Before the first test run, turn the engine over by hand, check all the screws and lightly lubricate the moving parts. If you want to go beyond test runs, you can also use the engine block as a power source in an RC project, depending on your configuration.
